Coproduction between the Ensemble contemporain de Montréal (ECM+) and Paramirabo, Magnitude6 and pianist Louise Bessette.
In collaboration with the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal
Since 2018, the Ensemble contemporain de Montréal (ECM+) and its partners have been coming together for an annual collective tribute concert to the late, great composer and teaccher Gilles Tremblay, a long-time figurehead in Canada and at the Conservatoire where he taught. On the program will be Envoi for solo piano, featuring Louise Bessette and large ensemble, and various chamber works. Concertgoers will also hear Versetti by composer Silvio Palmieri, a former studet of Gilles Tremblay, who died before his time in 2018.
